When are the classes?

Every week Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. There are no classes on Wednesdays

What area are we located?

We are located in Gwynn Oak near Woodlawn High School

How much are the monthly fees?

$100 per child (8 Dollars per class)

Are the days and timings flexible?

We can accommodate anyone within the posted class times.

Is there an online program?

Not at this time. Only in person classes.

Will the student receive a certificate?

Upon completion of the Qur’an the student will receive a certificate signed by the teacher. This is not an Ijazah (Permit to teach others certification) but a Shahadah (Certificate of Completion).

Will the student receive enough attention from the teacher?

We are committed to ensuring that every student gets his/her due from the teacher thus we limit class size capacity and utilize collective learning.

Do I need to provide the student their Qa’idah/Qur’an?

House of Qur’an will provide the student with any material needed with the cost being provided by the parents/guardians of the student.

What Books are used for Qa’idah and Qur’an?

We follow the curriculum taught by the renowned Sheikh Noor Muhammed Ar-Ra’ee which begins with the Noorani Qa’idah, thereafter the student goes into The Last 3 Juz with Tajweed rules (by Sheikh Noor). Once completed the student can move onto Nadhirah (looking inside and reading) all while memorizing the smaller Surahs (Surah Al Duha to Al Naas).

What Curriculum is used for Islamic Studies?

At House of Qur’an we are constantly adapting our Curriculum based on the need of the Students. We are currently using a selection of the famous Tasheel Series compiled by South African Scholars. We also use the popular Weekend Learning Curriculum put together by Muslim Academics.
